The Director of Coaching for Lonestar is Don Cameron, who is originally from Scotland. Don has coached at National, professional and youth levels throughout the world, including Scotland, Germany, Hong Kong, United States and Zimbabwe.
Don was the Technical Director/Head Coach of the Zimbabwe Woman's National team that progressed to the semi-finals of the Africa Nations Cup held in Johannesburg, South Africa in November of 2000 - the furthest they have ever progressed. Don led the Black Rhino's, a professional team, to the top six of a national premier league and in 2003 led the unbeaten Heidelberg varsity to the European Championships!
In addition to his soccer credentials Don spent a career in the British Army and represented his country all over the world including Afghanistan. Don was awarded the Member of the British Empire Medal (MBE) from the Queen of England and the Meritorious Service Medal (MSM) from the US Military for services to the military and soccer communities.
Don currently holds both his National UEFA & USSF 'A' Coaching Licenses.
