The Lonestar 91G Red team, named National Champions, along with 4 other Lonestar SC teams were recognized at last week’s City Council Member meeting.
Lonestar Players Head to Germany & England

Lonestar’s ’95 & ’96 boys & girls, from all levels of play, are going on a once in a lifetime adventure traveling abroad to Germany & England for the next 10 days! The Boys are touring England while our Girls are headed to Germany. These trips are designed to educate, develop & to improve our player’s knowledge of soccer, as well as, expose them to new cultures & experiences. Our teams will represent Lonestar by playing roughly 3-5 games against European competition that is developmentally appropriate. Congratulations to the Lonestars 91G Red, 2010 USYSNC National Champions.
Well Done to all the players and coaches throughout State, Regionals and Nationals!
Under-19 Girls - Final Summary
Lonestars 91 Red (TX-S) 1, Eclipse Select (IL) 1, PK 4-2
Eclipse Select (IL) entered the Under-19 Girls final with experience on both sides of a national title bout, winning at Under-15 and losing at Under-17. Today Eclipse looked to add another title and Lonestars 91 Red looked to add the first national championship for their club and first girl's title for a team from South Texas. The Eclipse offensive was led by Mary Kubiuk with five goals on the week to lead all scorers. Through the first half the match was tied, 1-1, with goals from Eclipse's Karissa Miller (12') and Lonestar's Jessica Fuston (31'). The second half concluded and overtime expired to the same result, 1-1. Eclipse's first kick in penalty's struck the post and the second would miss high. Lonestars would go on to successful attempts, winning the championship 4-2 to claim the club's first national championship and first girls' title for South Texas.
