Well Done Jacob!
Lonestar Soccer Club is very proud to announce that our very own Satara Murray has signed for Liverpool FC! Well Done Satara - this is a great achievement and truly shows that hard work pays off! Satara Murray on signing for Liverpool FC: I am so excited for this opportunity, I feel like not many people get this opportunity and I just am so thankful for getting the chance to play professionally, but also for a club such as Liverpool. I grew as a player through LSC and then ultimately became an even better player at UNC. Receiving the coaching I did from Lonestar was amazing. I don't think a lot of youth soccer players can receive such great coaching from a club and having that chance was just amazing. Then heading to UNC, getting the chance to play for Anson is like something i couldn't ever imagine. I learned so much throughout my 4 years at UNC and I became such a different player than what I was when I came in my freshman year. Very excited to play in the next level! From Coach Don: All the staff at Lonestar are delighted for Satara and her mum Glenda on her signing for Lverpool FC. Satara was an outstanding talent who has worked extremely hard to earn the opportunity to play collegiate soccer at UNC and now into professionally at Liverpool FC. Satara is a great ambassador for all our young female players and fingers crossed we may see her at the World Cup in the summer! From Glenda mum: " We dared to dream - and we dreamt in Technicolour"
Lonestar Soccer Club is proud to announce that USSDA Player Grant Vernon has been invited to the Boys U14 US Youth National Team Camp this January. "We are very proud of Grant as he continues the long line of LSC players that have been invited into National Team Camps". We wish Grant the best of Luck!
One year ago, Lonestar SC player McKinzie Gaines was playing in the 2013 Academy Select Game and has since made significant strides in a blossoming soccer career. Barely a few months after capitalizing on this platform, he was called into the U-17 National Team and is now tied with teammate Haji Wright for the most appearances for the team in 2014.
The United States Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) is the elite level of youth soccer in the United States for male soccer players. The USSDA is by invitation only for the top 72 clubs in the country and Lonestar SC is the only club in the USSDA in Austin. The league was created by the USSF to improve player development at the highest levels by increasing the number of high quality training sessions and creating more meaningful games throughout a ten month calendar.
Advancing elite players to professional contracts and USMNT opportunities is a goal of the program, though importantly, as with all our programs, the Lonestar SC USSDA program is designed to maximize collegiate opportunities through our college placement program. For more information on the USSDA contact Victor Pace
We look forward to your next feat McKinzie!

Read Lonestar SC's Executive Director of Coaching and Player Development for U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) and the Texas Pre-Academy League (TEPAL), Victor Pace, featured here in the latest National Premier League article
"The NPL’s Texas Pre-Academy League (TEPAL) is preparing top players from clubs in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio for successful careers in the U.S. Development Academy and beyond. TEPAL includes all nine U.S. Soccer Development Academy member clubs in Texas, and is the top level of competition for these players at U-13 and U-15 before they enter the Development Academy and then as they move between Development Academy age groups.
Executive Director of Coaching Victor Pace at Lonestar SC (Austin) has seen firsthand the club and player development the NPL offers. “The Texas Pre-Academy League is one of the strongest leagues, not only in the region, but in the country. The league provides us great competition each weekend to test and develop our players, so that they may continue on the path to the Development Academy,” Pace said. “The league schedule mirrors the DA schedules, which gives our staff the ability to watch and coach games consistently.”
Lonestar strongly believes in the league’s developmental focus, and the entire club embraces the long-term athletic development model viewpoint. “’Winning through development’ is printed on every training shirt throughout our entire club,” Pace added. “Our philosophy is to teach the technical, tactical, physical and physiological parts of the game, while instilling a winning mentality. Our goal every year is to develop top players with our core values that may go on and be successful at whatever they choose to do.”"

Congratulations girls for a great finish to the season!
The U23 ECNL team played FC Dallas night in Dallas to 1-1 draw. We then played the 2nd leg in Austin night; the way the conference worked out the team who won would advance to the National Championships. The game was great end to end. Both teams hit the crossbar and posts and it looked like it was going to go to overtime. In the 82nd minute FC Dallas hit a great shot to go up 1-0. Lonestar threw everything at FC Dallas trying to tie the game. In the 90th minute Sophia Mundy tied the game up on a goal mouth scramble. With the emotion of the game Lonestar went for it pressing and winning the kickoff. The ball was sent into Jamie French who looped it over the FC Dallas GK to win the game 2-1 in the 92nd minute!
Tremendous work ladies!
The 96G Red battles in Brenham on Monday night to earn a 2-0 win, falling one goal short of advancing to regionals. They beat Challenge Kingwood to end up tied for 1st place in state—with….12 players!
They were amazing as Rob Ferguson will attest.
Great job ladies! We are so proud of you and all your your hard work!
The ECNL 96s qualified for the U18 ECNL National Championships this past weekend with a 5-3 win over Albion.
The 96s have qualified for the ECNL National Championships 4 straight years at U15,16,17,18! The team won the National Championship in 2011. The National Championships take place June 24-29th in Seattle Washington. "I know this is the team's fourth appearance at the National Championships but this one is special to me, says ECNL DoC JD Cochran. We have played every game with injured players, down a man or with players helping the team from other rosters. Every player has played out of position to make this happen. I am so proud of this group for pulling through and sticking together to achieve another chance at winning a National Championship. We are into the the sweet sixteen now 5 games away from winning it all. Congrats to the Club, Parents and Players for this years achievement."
Congratulations to our 00G White South team who won the State Cup this weekend for the second year in a row.
The team advance to Regionals in Alabama in June!
Good luck girls!
Good Luck at Regionals Ladies!
On Saturday May 10th the U23 Lonestar ECNL team traveled to Carl Lewis Stadium in Houston, TX to play the WPSL Professional Team Houston Aces.
The game was in a great environment. The players had locker rooms, pre-game food, recovery food and Showers! The Aces put on a great atmosphere for the team. The game was end to end in the first half, ending 0-0. night's U23 Team was comprised of College Players from Baylor, Texas A&M, Rice, Texas Tech, University of North Carolina and University of Texas. The players have been off for 4 weeks finishing school and wrapping things up. "Fitness was a big issue for us in the 2nd half, said ECNL DOC JD Cochran, we had 13 players and we ran out of gas.
The U23 program is about getting these players opportunities to stay fit. This was our first day of preseason and it showed. We have 21 days to get ready for FC Dallas who went to the National Championships last year. Our goal is to train and play as much as possible and go to the National Championships in Seattle ." The Aces game ended 2-0.
Thanks to the entire Houston Aces Staff and program for the event!
Congratulations LSC CCU Breeze for winning Western District Director’s Cup and LSC CCU Infinity for Winning Western District South Texas Cup!

Lonestar 96,97 and U23 ECNL teams combined to play the Houston Aces to a 0-0 draw.
Lonestar was the first team to shut out the Houston Aces and only the second team to tie them this season. "Our ladies played great today, says ECNL DOC JD Cochran. "With 3 teams combining and playing together you worry that their could be miscommunication. I was very impressed on how each player worked together. This was a great opportunity for Lonestar Players and we are very fortunate to have a relationship with Ted Brumbaugh and the Houston Aces.
The Lonestar u23 team will travel to Houston May 10th to play the Aces in a rematch at Carl Lewis Stadium in Houston TX @ 6pm.
