3 Lonestar Players Selected to ODP Region III Teams for International Tournaments

 Two Lonestar girls have been selected by their respective ODP Region Teams to participate in upcoming international tournaments.

Tabria Williford & Erin Inman were chosen for the U-17 ODP Region III Team that will be competing at the Algarve Cup in Portugal from February 27 through March 7th 2009. Both players play for the Lonestar 93G Red team.

Mikaela Harvey, of the Lonestar 96G Red team, will also be representing Region III, she has been selected to the U-15 ODP Region III Team; despite her being a U-14.  They will participate in the Futbol Feminino Torneo Internacional in Cost Rica late February through early March 2009.  

“This is quite an achievement and opportunity for these young players and we wish them both the best of luck.  We are confident they will represent Lonestar and Region III in the most positive manner both on and off the field” commented Premier League Director Aaron Metzger.  Please join us in congratulating these young players on a fantastic accomplishment.

Congratulations to the 91G Red who won the National Championship and the 96B Red who brought home 3rd place in the National Championship! Both teams played extremely well putting forth an incredible effort, and worked very hard to earn the chance to compete at the national level.
