A Truly Sad Day for Lonestar SC and Austin Soccer

Lonestar SC is very saddened to report that one of our Lonestar family, Murray Hanson, has passed away. Preliminary indications are that Murray died from a heart condition that he had dealt with for several years. Lonestar SC will communicate service information when available. The Lonestar SC family extends our heartfelt condolences and prayers to Murray's family and many close friends.

A proud native of Canada, Murray played for the Youth National Team, as well as SIU-Edwardsville and the University of Tulsa. Professionally he played for the Tulsa Ambush of the National Professional Soccer League and semi-professionally for the Tulsa Roughnecks of the US-ISL. Murray was one of Lonestar SC’s longest serving coaches who coached hundreds, if not thousands, of young soccer players at all levels of the game, right here in Austin. He will be missed, and remembered fondly, by everyone at Lonestar SC and in the Austin Soccer Community.

We are excited to be able to offer multiple recreational programs for ages U4-U18! The programs are LSC-CCU serving Cedar Park and North Austin, LSC-AUC serving South Austin and surround areas, and LSC-CBA now serving Central Austin, such as the Brentwood and Crestview areas.
