The Lonestars College Program is a combination of programs, leadership and opportunities to support the ongoing goals of the talented and committed player.

 

COLLEGE SHOWCASES
College Showcase events are key to the exposure of players to candidate coaches and support staff from Colleges and Universities across the country. The Lonestars host two events annually - the Lonestar Boys Showcase late November and the Lonestar Girls Showcase in February.  In addition to our own events the high-school aged teams within the club also participate in a combination of other Showcase events across the country.  Over the course of the 2011-2012 soccer year there were over 400 college coaches viewing some combination of boy and girl players within the Lonestars.

 

COLLEGE PROFILES
The Lonestar Soccer Club have prepared an online system designed to support the individual player presentation of High School and Club information.  This profile and roster system is integrated into the toolkit provided to all teams within the Lonestar Soccer Club.  The player information entered is available to all college coaches nationwide and is searched on a regular basis for candidate players.  The Profile system is also integrated into the Lonestar College Showcase events.  

 

 

COLLEGE TOURS / VISITS
The Lonestar teams also plan annual visits and tours to various College campuses and programs to expose the players within the club to the overall experience of playing at the next level.  

 

COLLEGE PRESENTATIONS
Various guest speakers that have included members of the US National Team staffs, Division I and II Coaches as well as professionals present information and offer Q&A sessions available to all Lonestar players, parents and families.
